Famous Scottish Folds
The popularity of the Scottish Fold has increased dramatically over the past several years. It’s public exposure can be attributed to a number of factors, but the following famous Scottish Folds played a significant role in this:
Susie
Susie is the original Scottish Fold, found in 1961 at a farm in Perthshire, Scotland. One of Susie’s kittens ‘Snooks’, (the only kitten capable of breeding, since the other was neutered) was bred with a male tabby cat. Susie was killed by a car several months after giving birth to her kittens, but she lives on through every Scottish Fold alive today.
